Conversation Peace

The basic structure is from a live round. All the symbols are military ones. The figure and the flower represent life in amongst this machine of death.

The whole is a votive piece in memory of all the years young men gave to fight in our past history.

This piece is about that which we do not speak. Fathers throw away medals. Anguish and resentment is buried deep. The conversation should be around where it has left that generation in terms of psychological trauma. Most who went through horrors and hardships cannot verbalize enough to cure the deep wounds. Talk helps as common ground is found, words unsaid can be spoken.
